The Start of A New Adventure!

Bradley and I have been married for a little over 8 years now and our life together has been full of many adventures!  One adventure we always hoped to have is that of parenthood, however, just like most things in life we can make plans, but it may not always turn out and it can turn out better in ways we least expected!  For years, Bradley and I have discussed seeing about hosting a foreign exchange student, but for whatever reason it just never came to fruition, until now!  Bradley called me one day asking if we could apply to be a host family and unlike some years there was no hesitation and I immediately said, yes!  We filled out the application, arranged for references and submitted the application and waited to hear!  Not long after, we heard that we were too late!  We were a little bummed and tried to reach out to a few resources to see if we could still make it happen!  After talking to a friend from church that worked at Cibola High School, she gave our names to Education, Travel and Culture (ETC).  We instantly were put in touch with Michele and filled out another application and in a matter of days we received a couple of profiles of students to choose from and arranged for our home interview.
Michele came to our home and had a short interview asking if we were both wanting to do Foreign Exchange and other questions!  As we sat and visited with her a little longer, she asked if she could throw a wrench in the plan...she asked if we would be willing to host two students!  She looked around and mentioned that she didn't think we had a cat and had another student she was trying to place.  We told her that we only had one bed and then she came back with offering for the program to supply the beds.  At that moment I realized I had no further excuses and no other reason to say no!  I asked to read his profile and instantly knew we wanted him in our home...and just like that we were expecting TWINS!
